- Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
- Analyze and resolve field construction issues
- Prepare, review and distribute RFI’s
- Maintain RFI Log
- Develop and maintain schedule with Superintendent input
- Maintain thorough understanding of contract documents and subcontracts
- Inspect and verify material deliveries
- Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
- Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
- Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
- Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
- Track quantities installed and verify with owner on a daily basis
- Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
- Set performance goals and deadlines
- Plan construction processes
- Ensure the project is on budget
- Monitor and report on project progress
- Ensure the job site remains safe, clean, and orderly
- Resolve on-site issues and emergencies
